About Us

Lincolnshire REC was formed in 2002 to enforce the statutory obligations under British Law regarding the Race Relations Act of 1976 and the amendments of 2000 and 2006, which briefly states that it is against the law to discriminate against a person or groups of people because of their Race, Colour, Gender, Religion, Disability, Age, ECT in relation to access to services, delivery of service and direct or indirect discrimination, verbal or otherwise. It is seen that in a county such as Lincolnshire with the influx of Eastern Europeans, and the more traditional new arrivals, that this beautiful County has greeted, with open arms, all who have settled here. However there has become a need to support all new arrivals notwithstanding the indigenous populations who now have embraced the new multicultural community which is Lincolnshire.

Our role at Lincolnshire REC is to ensure that every person in this county has equal rights in all that they need without prejudice, and not to suffer any kind of discriminations and  our aim and goal is to eradicate all bad practices and to ensure through monitoring and working in partnership with others, that this is so.
